Courses & Schedule
Fully supervised activities are organised every afternoon. The out-door activities include tennis, mini-golf, basket-ball,
volleyball, rounders, football, fishing, cycling, horse riding, canoeing and swimming at a near-by blue flag
beach. The indoor activities comprise table-tennis, badminton, hockey, draughts, chess, quizzes, debates, plays, sketches and song contests. Bíonn céilithe gléasta, céilithe dubh agus bán againn freisin. There are many
competitive events for which prizes are awarded. A special trophy is also awarded to the Sár-Scoláire on each
course.
Being away from home and living with other young people is a challenge. Students learn to organise rotas for keeping their rooms neat, taking showers etc. Each house has a cúntóir or cinnire. The cinnirí are past pupils of the Coláiste who inspire the other students to participate fully in all the activities of the college. As leaders the cinnirí will, by example, help the other students adjust to the college environment, and maintain
the required discipline at all times.
